The book rules...plain and simple September 7, 2005 Fly Guy (Fairchild AFB, WA United States) 27 out of 27 found this review helpful
I am a busy FP doc at a military base and I see a considerable amount of dermatologic complaints. I try to take care of most of it myself (since we have no dermatologist on staff) and find this book indispensable to my daily practice. I open it practically every day. For those of you who think the 'baby' Habif is enough, it's not! Trust me, I tried to scrape by with the 'baby' version for years before I bit the bullet and bought it. The sections on acne, eczema, dermatophytosis, and rosacea are outstanding.
Da Best! November 28, 1999 AFN1000 (N. Hemisphere) 31 out of 34 found this review helpful
Without a doubt, the best practical derm book out there to help you wade through the countless derm conditions that can be seen in primary care medicine. Thorough, easy to understand and great pictures. What else can you want in a derm book?
Still a must have for primary providers June 5, 2004 Rafa (Sometimes Fort Bragg, sometimes Central Asia) 16 out of 16 found this review helpful
I previously lauded the 3rd edition. Now I am extremely impressed by the latest edition. There are more pictures and elaborate details about diagnosis and treatment. But what I consider the best improvement are the expanded tables in each chapter. These tables detail recommended evaluations, treatments and differential diagnosis. THE BEST GOT BETTER
Great reference...... August 9, 1999 19 out of 21 found this review helpful
This book is a great reference. I really cannot say enough good things about it. It is clearly written, easy to use, and contains hundreds of color photographs. I use this reference daily to help me determine both diagnosis and treatment, as I am not a dermatologist. I would highly recommend this book to anyone in the health care field.
THE derm book December 18, 2005 CJ (Seattle, WA USA) 9 out of 10 found this review helpful
There are several excellent dermatology texts in the market, but I believe this is the one to get, due to quality of pictures and organization. If you only have money for one, get this one!
